New Orleans-native Jimmy Descant is a builder and metal-worker, known for his retro-future styled rocketships.
His new series The Shape Of Louisiana Commenting On The Shape Of Louisiana is a commentary on living and breathing in Louisiana post-Katrina and with the BP oil spill. The show highlights the decades of destruction and decimation of our natural resources by businesses and political practices under the guise of job opportunities and financial survival.
The exhibition will be on display at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art from January 19 until April 8th.
