Louisiana native, Stephen Collier is a multi-discipline artist living and working in New Orleans and member of Good Children Gallery. His work is equally humorous and absurd as it is disturbing, focusing on various false histories and pop-references.

Previously in New Orleans- video art, animator, illustrator and director Jon Clark has been working over time in Los Angeles. If you are in the area, Synchronicity Space is currently presenting Nightschool 2: his movie premiere, installation, and book release from January 21st thru February 2nd. It will certainly be a visual treat.

New Orleans artist, Seth Ludman is a multi-discipline creator of various useful objects, collage and illustrations. He will be participating in this season’s Avant Garden, presented by Constance.
1st row: The Miracle Invention is actually a common dowel screw. With this invention you can make a mushroom-banana, a car-phone, or any combination of two objects that you can imagine.
2nd row: The Deoderant Reach is a handle to add to one’s deoderant allowing deoderant application at a distance. It also allows deoderant application to the armpit of limb holding the deoderant (especially useful if you have lost the use of one arm).

New Orleans-based artist and Good Children Gallery member, Stephen Collier has an opening Friday, September 16th, 7-10pm at Manifest Exhibitions at 2950 N. Allen Ave in Chicago.
His installation of video, painting, collage, and neon explores the psychology behind control, authority, and motivation. Other pieces featuring painted black-light posters refer to the power of free love mentality and the influence of psychedelics on the human mind.
