Acadiana folklorist/filmmaker and Breaux Bridge native, Conni Castille’s new documentary, T-Galop: A Louisiana Horse Story, traces the history of equine culture in Louisiana from colonial times through the modern era, emphasizing the culture’s deep roots within the Cajun and Creole communities.
The film documents such aspects of equine culture as bush tracks, zydeco cowboys and the Mardi Gras courir.
Pawel Wojtasik is a Polish filmmaker and video artist currently based in New York. His films emulate that of observational documentaries and ‘seeing the world’. Linotype: The Film is a feature-length documentary film centered around the Linotype typecasting machine invented by Ottmar Mergenthaler in 1886. Called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by Thomas Edison, the Linotype revolutionized printing and society.

BURY THE HATCHET is a portrait of three Mardi Gras Indian Big Chiefs of New Orleans, descendants of runaway slaves taken in by the Native Americans of the Louisiana bayous. It is the story of the unique and endangered culture of New Orleans they represent—as bearers of tradition, artists, musicians, and warriors who have laid down their weapons, but not their determination to survive as a people.
