New Orleans artist Maria Levitsky will have her MFA Thesis exhibition, Uncanny Mirror of Available Darkness at the UNO St Claude Gallery, opening on Saturday May 12  from 6 til 9p.

New Orleans based photographer and member of Southerly Gold, Akasha Rabut has been selected to be a part of the Southern Open. The Southern Open is a competitive juried exhibition featuring artists from the 5 southern states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

The show opens May 12th and runs until November 30th at the ACA in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Hannah Jegart is an artist and wonderful printmaker living and working in New Orleans.

Tomorrow night is opening night of The Trust at Parse Gallery.  This exhibit is an immersive art installation by multi-genre makers created by Corinne Loperfido in collaboration with Parse Gallery. The exhibit will present three different nights of performance in which audience members and artists are brought together and asked to transform. Tomorrow, May 4 from 7-9pm is the inaugural evening featuring tableau vivant performances curated by Delaney Martin of New Orleans Airlift (AKA the Music Box). A new scene unfolds every 20 minutes.
